Coach Halie began playing volleyball in a rec league when she was 6 years old and has loved the sport since then. She decided to then tryout for her middle school team at Falls Lake Academy. Although she didn’t make the team, she became a manager and that’s when she really became committed, practicing everyday to better herself so the next year she could make the team. She played all throughout middle school and eventually, high school where she was very fortunate to be part of a two time state championship team.

Halie has played for Carolina Explosion, and Capital City for both their Indoor and Beach programs. She opted out of a chance to play for Wake Tech and Louisburg College to focus on work and coaching. She felt that coaching would be a good way to be connected to the sport she loves while also teaching young girls how to better their skills and knowledge in a sport they love. Beginning her second season as a coach, Halie is excited to be part of the Firecrackers.

When she’s not coaching, Halie is a kindergarten teacher assistant at Bethesda Christian Academy, and a student at Wake Tech pursuing a career as a Physical Therapist. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her best friend, Oakley (an adorable Chiweenie), going out with friends to see movies and shopping.

Halie was fortunate to learn a lot from the coaches she’s had, and is ready to share her knowledge with the girls she gets to coach.
