Dr. Robin Pietryk had been a head coach for over 25 years at both the high school, college, and club level. Pietryk spent 15 years at the helm of the North Carolina Wesleyan volleyball program before stepping down to pursue teaching. The Battling Bishops' career leader in volleyball coaching wins, Pietryk's tenure saw her establish NCWC as a legitimate contender for the USA South Conference title. In 2019, Pietryk was inducted into North Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame for her coaching success. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in Sport Administration at NCWC and serves as Program Coordinator for the Sport Administration.

Dr. Pietryk earned her undergraduate degree at Bethany College, where she was a three-sport athlete and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in September 2013. Pietryk received her Master’s Degree from Kent State University in Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. In 2008, she completed her Ph.D. in Education from Walden University, with a specialization in Higher Education.
