Bj Whitesell

Coach Bj was a four-sport athlete in High School and played his fifth sport, Volleyball, any chance he could on the weekends. His passion for Volleyball grew while attending East Carolina University where he “partnered up” and played in Beach Volleyball tournaments along the East Coast. Bj’s return to Volleyball came in the form of a proud parent watching his youngest daughter playing with the same passion for the game.

As a former athlete, coaching allows Coach Bj to share how TEAM sports taught him building blocks that he has used throughout life. Motivation, Preparation, and Execution can be applied to all facets of life. Believing that mastering the fundamentals of any skill in sports or life can lead to being successful in both.

When he’s not coaching or running his own construction business, Bj is a “homebody”. He treasures every minute with his two girls, Payton & Parker, and his beautiful wife, Paige. With any time left over, he enjoys Sci-Fi and his houseplants.
