Sherly La Paz
Assitant Coach
Coach Sherly started playing volleyball at the age of 11. She earned a scholarship to play with the School of Sports in San Juan, Puerto Rico and played with GEVA Club until she relocated to Raleigh due to the devastating impact of two major storms that struck Puerto Rico. Just when she thought her volleyball journey might have come to an end, RVC gave her the incredible opportunity to continue playing on scholarship. She concluded her career playing her senior year at Rolesville High School in 2019.
This is Sherly’s first season as an assistant coach, and her areas of expertise are hitting and blocking. She chose to start her coaching journey because she loves the game and had a passion for helping players grow both on and off the court, while building teamwork and building confidence.
